My PC'er doesn't want to do them with the ball joints in place because he doesn't know how well they will hold up to the temp, and doesn't want hot oil/grease dripping out in the oven and ruining the finish/catching fire. Wondering how others have done this. Obviously removing them would be the best, would also eliminate the possibility of blast media getting into the joint, but OEM ball joints are not available without buying the entire control arm. The only options appear to be auto-zone type parts. Anyone have any experience with them? I don't like the idea, but it seems better than just pressing back in the old balls after the PC is done. Any thoughts appreciated.
